rooms and buildings
Our historic 1867 farmhouse is home to five of the inns rooms. Four of the 5 have terrific ocean views to the south.
When Isaiah Stevens built the home for his family in 1867, they owned 160 acres, and this was the site he chose. When you're here, you will see why. It's sheltered from the winds of the Pacific, yet has terrific views down the coastline.
Come experience the historic side of the Mendocino coast at our Mendocino farm's historic original 1867 farmhouse. We define a suite as a two-room accommodation.
The Stevenscroft Building
This smartly designed redwood building houses four of our 10 rooms.
Built in 1987, this beautiful structure is designed in a "L" shape so the rooms upstairs and downstairs are not side-by-side. Instead, they are corner to corner.
The Stevenscroft building's rooms all have private exterior entrances. They have terrific views down the coast -- the second floor room views are a bit more dramatic because of their vantage point.
This building is set on the east side of the property surrounded by lush gardens, and it's next to the east llama pasture which makes it perfect for sitting and experiencing the calming effect of watching the llamas graze.

The Carriage House Building
Adjacent to the Barn building, the Carriage House is home to the upstairs apartment-sized room called The Carriage House Grand Suite.
The main floor houses the art gallery where you can still see the carriage house doors which have been made into large windows overlooking the courtyard.
The Carriage House Grand Suite is 750 square feet with a private entrance and no shared walls. It has a flat screen TV, the largest bathroom on property with double-headed shower, and tons of light with its four close-able skylights bringing in the morning sun, or the night stars.
